The second World Humanoid Robot Games are scheduled for 22–26 August 2026 at Beijing’s National Speed Skating Oval, the “Ice Ribbon.” China Daily and city organizers say 666 teams from 16 countries have registered 2,056 humanoid robots — a sharp rise from the first edition’s roughly 280 teams.
The programme mixes competitive sports-style events with scenario tests. Beijing’s English briefing lists 1,301 sessions across 51 events, spanning track-and-field style challenges plus factory, home and emergency-style tasks. Domestically, coverage puts the large majority of entries with Chinese companies and universities, alongside teams from the United States, Germany, Japan, Brazil and others.
Read this as a Beijing competition week for humanoid platforms, not a substitute for World Robot Conference’s procurement halls earlier in August. Catalogue buyers tracking Unitree, AgiBot, EngineAI or other named OEMs should treat booth and match results as event colour until a sourced exhibitor or results list pins a specific robot page.
Registration counts are organizer figures, not an audit of working autonomous systems on every entry. Session and event tallies can shift before doors open. Do not invent medal tables or OEM win claims before official results.
