Pudu plans full-scenario robot hotel on Shenzhen’s West Artificial Island

Pudu Robotics and Shenzhen Culture & Tourism Industry Development have signed to build what they call the world’s first full-scenario robot-serviced hotel on West Artificial Island of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link. A 1 June PR Newswire release follows a late-May partnership ceremony on the island; the pitch is robots across the guest journey rather than a few delivery units beside human staff.

Secondary coverage puts the property at about 44 high-end rooms with restaurant and fitness space. Planned robot roles span reception and check-in, luggage help, room service and in-room delivery, housekeeping, food service and guest support, with multi-robot collaboration framed as a closed-loop hospitality system. The roadmap is phased: selected rooms and robot-powered services are to open for public trial by late 2026, with the fuller hotel opening targeted for 2027 (Greater Bay Area reporting says early 2027).

This is a manufacturer deployment story for Pudu Robotics, whose catalogue already carries hospitality and delivery platforms such as BellaBot. No dedicated “hotel fleet” robot SKU is published for this project, so read BellaBot as an existing service exemplar, not as confirmation that the island hotel will ship that exact model.

“World’s first” and “free from human intervention” language is partner and company framing, not an independent census of every automated lodging pilot worldwide. The hotel is not open yet; late-2026 trials cover only selected rooms and services. Cost, staffing residual humans for safety/compliance, and which exact Pudu models run each role remain unspecified in the English launch materials.
